Chandler Shortlidge

The last two years have seen the rise of a new face in the world of house music, as Colorado's Chandler Shortlidge has turned from DJing at his local clubs to producing his own brand of house, tech house and progressive. Raised a musician, Shortlidge learned to play the piano and violin at an early age, and continued to play do so throughout his youth. However, in 1998, everything changed when he heard dance music for the first time, and has been DJing ever since. Not confined to one style, Shortlidge is constantly testing his abilities and keeping his sound fresh by creating anything that inspires him throughout the house and techno music world. "I just love too many different styles to stick to one," Shortlidge says. "I try not to box myself in. After all, this is about having fun!" He also takes this mindset with him to the decks, spanning genres and keeping dancers happy at clubs like Beta (#1 club North America), The Church and The Funky Buddha Lounge.
